PRETORIA University goalkeeper Washington Arubi is disappointed with his team’s recent results in the South African Premier Soccer League.
The former Dynamos, Highlanders and Lancashire Steel star challenged the team’s players to up their game.
AmaTuks have lost three games in a row and their performance seems to be deteriorating with each match unlike last year.

The Warriors goalkeeper told Chronicle : “We are aware of our performances, but believe me in our next game at home at Tuks Stadium in Pretoria on Sunday  afternoon against Takesure Chinyama’s Platinum Stars its a do-or-die.

“We know Stars play entertaining football but we will not allow them to keep possession especially their dangerous players Siphelile Mthembu, Robert Ng’ambi and Mogakolodi Ngele.”

The former Highlanders shotstopper said he is not happy about losing so many games at this crucial moment. We have to put all this behind us and start collecting maximum points.

“We have a great coach in Steve Barker who is always supporting and motivating us even if all is not well.
“He is telling us to keep on pushing hard, results will come,” said the AmaTuks goalkeeper.

Other Zimbabweans at AmaTuks are striker, Obadiah Tarumbwa and goalkeepers’ trainer Tendai Tanyanyiwa.
