As a matter of fact . . .

A LATE mistake in the lead story of yesterday’s edition of The Herald on the launch of President Mnangagwa’s biography erroneously stated that when President Mnangagwa was captured as a young liberation fighter, he had been betrayed by Nelson Mawema.

This is incorrect. His betrayer is generally understood to have been the late Michael Mawema as was correctly written but regrettably altered in a late style change.

We sincerely regret the error and offer our full apology to Cde Nelson Mawema for the error and for the distress it caused. – Editor
