Ashford Mamelodi tours Zifa Village

Sunday afternoon and met with Zifa Village consultants in the capital.
The Village is under the Fifa Goal Project.
During the meeting, Mamelodi was taken on a tour of the different projects underway at the Village and the consultants explained the proposed further developments.
Zifa communications manager Nicky Moyo-Dlamini confirmed the visit by Mamelodi and said the Botswana based official will today hold meetings with Zifa president, Cuthbert Dube, chief executive officer Jonathan Mashingaidze, the recently appointed constitutional review committee and the Zifa management team.
“Mamelodi expressed happiness with the progress that has been made so far and promised to recommend Phase Two and possibly Phase Three of the Fifa Goal Project,” said Moyo-Dlamini.
She said Mamelodi was more than prepared to see the Village complete. It will have conference facilities and good quality playing fields.
“It was suggested that he will come for another visit in January where he will see the finalised proposals for the next phases and see the completion of the first,” said Moyo-Dlamini.
The completion of the Zifa Village will go a long way in easing the financial burden from Zifa in terms of facilities like accommodation and training grounds for the different national teams that visit.
