Asiagate, local match fixing under spotlight

Another controversial issue which is on the agenda is the Dynamos and Democratic Republic of Congo based TP Mazembe’s dubious financial support arrangement.
In the deal, TP Mazembe offered the 2011 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions $400 000 so that the Harare giants could fulfill four of their remaining Champions League matches.
The then Dynamos chairman Farai Munetsi confirmed that his club had been offered the controversial $400 000 aid package by a group of middlemen claiming to be representing the wealthy Congolese businessman Moise Katumbi but he turned down the offer.
Katumbi is the owner of TP Mazembe, one of the richest clubs on the African continent and two time winners of the Champions League.
