DANCEHALL star, Peacemore “Chipman” Chitopo has released his much anticipated Asifuni Bumbulu video after several months of waiting.
The video features the Taliban Crew, and was directed by Ngwiza and DJ Killan Pictures. Chipman said he was grateful for the fans that supported the Asifuni Bumbulu track and hoped the video would receive the same support.
“I am humbled by fans’ response to Asifuni Bumbulu. Their support is what pushed me to shoot the video this month. I am also thankful to my record producer, Tynash Chipembere who believed in my talent from day one,” he said.
The Asifuni Bumbulu video was supposed to be shot at Barbourfields Stadium, but the deal failed as Chipman and the Bosso board failed to reach a mutual agreement. The video ended up being shot at Kumalo in Bulawayo.
Chipman said he still supported Highlanders, the team of life despite failing to strike a deal with the Highlanders executive.
“I am very passionate about Highlanders and I love everything about the famous Black and White team. Even though I failed to reach an agreement with Highlanders to shoot the video at Emagumeni, I am still a Bosso fan,” he said.
The audio of the track was successfully released in August as a warm up for Chipman’s upcoming album early next year.
The sensational superstar urged Zimbabweans to support upcoming artistes who are facing financial difficulties.
“The major problem faced by artistes is money needed to record their music.
“There are talented artistes who have unreleased tracks as financial problems have prevented them from recording their music. Some of them have performed at growth points in a quest to gain public support,” he said.
The Cowdray Park-based musician is one perseverant dancehall superstar who is currently working in Beitbridge, but drives to Bulawayo every weekend to record his music. Chipman wishes to become a full time artiste in future.
