AUSTRALIA Netball took home the 2023 Netball World Cup after overpowering England 61-45 in a spectacular final match here at Cape Town International Convention Centre.

This becomes the 12th time for the Aussies to dominate at the global showcase since its inception in 1963.

After a heartbreaking extra time defeat to perennial rivals New Zealand in Liverpool in the previous edition of the global showcase in which Australia gave up the Cup, this time, they had everything to play for.

However, in stage two of this tournament, the Aussies lost 55-56 to the same opponent before going on to outclass them in the finals.
