Avoid overspill of Syrian conflict

understand that regime change did not start and end with Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, but that the United States would want to rule the whole world by putting into office puppet governments that will give it express authority to vast mineral resources. Do all right thinking people not know why Zimbabwe has been placed under illegal sanctions? Do all right thinking people not know why Gaddafi was murdered? Do all right thinking people not understand why the US wants to bypass UN resolutions or abuse the resolutions?
It has the precedence that it can disregard UN resolutions or at the least manipulate them, using its super power status. So if Syria is abused and Africa allows that to happen, there will be precedence.
The argument put forward will be there is already precedence in Syria of bypassing UN resolutions and there should yet the world should therefore set precedence that UN resolutions should be adhered to in total.
From an inexperienced political eye, the Syrian conflict seems not too distant and to have no effect at all on the political dynamics of Africa. It is a real test for what the future holds for the world.
However, from a nationalistic, patriotic and African political and social development point of view, Syria and how it will climb out of its political crisis, has a very strong and direct impact on world events. Africa in particular can ignore a peaceful solution in Syria at its own peril. When the Cote d’Ivoire was on fire and French soldiers intervened disguised as UN peacekeepers no one really thought next was Tunisia, Egypt and then Libya.
If Syria’s political solution is not well managed, it will have the United Nations Security Council being abused by the United States or rather bulldozed into another unsanctioned military intervention and once that is done, precedence has been set.
The same illegal military intervention can be applied on Zimbabwe, South Africa or any other country that in future will be targeted by the United States for regime change. There is still a possibility of a peaceful solution to Syria by engaging mechanism offered the UN Security Council. In particular, the implementation of Annan’s plan, which has not lost its relevance yet, as well as measures, formulated by the Action Group for Syria in Geneva opened the way for launch of a comprehensive political dialogue.
However, the main problem is that not all the international players want to act in such a way. According to former State Department’s analyst Mark Katz, who is now professor at George Masson University, the USS is used to bypass the UN Security Council resolving such issues and now they are pushing their allies for it.
The prime minister of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani during a speech at the Conference of the Friends of Syria, in Paris, France has already talked of bypassing the UN security Council, saying that such steps were made in the past. At the same time, the international community’s connivance of increasing disregard of the UN principals can lead to negative consequences in the future.
According to UN-LAS joint special representative for Syria L Brahini these are just Syrians, who must work out the contours of the future of their country. Brahimi also declared that he was not going to insist on Assad resignation or support the Syrian opposition. His activity would be based on the based on the ideas of Kofi Annan’s plan.
Recently government forces have managed to stabilise the situation around Damascus and ruined Islamist plans to organise another massive attack on the capital. To date, all the most dangerous centres of resistance in the south east of Damascus were completely eliminated.
A special operation directed on annihilation terrorist groups in Allepo is also about to end. The changing moods of Syrian people in favour of supporting army units begin playing important roles in the current situation. Residents of the affected cities provide real help in indicating the exact location of militant and weapons caches.
Recent tragic events occurred with US diplomats in Libya and forced evacuation of the American citizens from other Muslim countries confirm the rightness of those analysts and experts who warned from the very beginning that the main benefit from the Arab Spring would get Islamic radicals.
The Obama administration estimates that American help to Islamists, come to the power in Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and Yemen, would ensure their compliance appeared groundless.
In this regard it is worth for Washington to consider whether to continue its games with fanatical Muslims in Syria directed to eliminating one of the main allies of Iran— president Assad and improving Israel’s security by inciting a war between Sunnis and Shiites.
It goes without saying that the Syrian problem should be resolved according to the mechanisms of UN security council not on the whims of the US’ needs and bloody end. It is high time the world keeps checking on US “big brother” attitude and resolve all world affairs in the most fairest of all manners. — DayAfrica.com.
