AYSA youngster for Spain

ACES Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA) promising football star Kundai Mukweva has secured a trial with Spanish side FC Malaga City.

The youngster is a midfielder who has played for the Under-20 Zimbabwean outfit that played in the 2018 MOPANI Copper Mine Under-20 championships in Zambia.

FC Malaga City is a full-time Spanish football academy for elite 16-20-year-olds across the globe. “Kundai Mukweva has already travelled to Spain and he will be training FC with Malaga Academy, and he seems to have a bright future ahead of him,” said founder and director of AYSA Nigel Munyati.

AYSA is a sport and academic development institution for boys and girls aged between 10 and 18. The Academy has provided social development support for Zimbabwean children through sport and academic education.

In 2016, AYSA entered into a strategic partnership with Spain-based Football Center of Excellence (FCE) to promote access to international soccer opportunities for Zimbabwe’s youth.

The academy has produced star talents such as Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat, George Chigova, Donovan Benard, Daisy Kaitano, Marjory Nyaumwe, Rufaro Machingura, among others. Meanwhile, AYSA also sent 2019 graduate Nicholas Guyo, who plays centre forward, and reports suggest he has pace and a nightmare for defenders.
