PREPARATIONS have begun in earnest for the second edition of the Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) with May 26, 2018 being pegged as the awards ceremony date.

Ten categories have been added to the existing 40 to cater for some sub-sectors that had been left out.

The inaugural BAAs held on June 30 this year were successfully held at the Large City Hall and generated a lot of interest from the public, giving the organisers the verve to host another edition. Artistes including Sandra Ndebele, Cal Vin, Iyasa and Madlela Skhobokhobo were honoured.

Organisers said they had already begun preparing for the awards ceremony as they want to engage partners early in order to make the event bigger and better.
