BABA Harare yesterday described songbird Shingai Shonhiwa as his “Woman Crush Wednesday”.
This follows her contribution to Winky D’s new album titled Eureka-Eureka, which Baba Harare described as a masterpiece.
“My Woman Crush Wednesday (WCW) is the beautiful and talented Shingai (Shonhiwa). Her contribution to Eureka Eureka is just perfect,” he posted on his Facebook timeline.
Shingai featured on Winky D’s new song tilted Dzimba Dzemabwe.
When Shingai was introduced during the album launch at the Harare International Conference Centre on New Year’s Eve, many people were eager to find out who she was.
Shingai is known in showbiz as a “Zimbabwean-British” singer.

She has been in the industry for over 20 years, but was yet to perform in Zimbabwe until the Winky D album launch.
The diva is a member of musical ensemble The Noisettes where she plays the bass guitar.
She also plays leading vocals and backing vocals when recording.
She revealed that she stayed next to young Adele and she played bass.
Adele’s determination to become a singer was given an extra shove when Shingai moved in as her neighbour.
Shingai released her first solo album titled Too Bold in October 2020.
She featured on the 2022 Fifa World Cup theme song We Made it.
