BAC still under renovations

REVELLERS in Bulawayo will have to wait a little bit longer for the re-opening of the once popular Bulawayo Athletic Club (BAC) as the nightspot is still waiting for a liquor licence.

The joint has been under serious renovations over the past weeks and was supposed to re-open on Friday last week with an All White Party.

However, according to a message circulated by BAC management, the re-opening is not going to happen anytime soon.

“To my valued friends and customers, I reach out to all of you who are anticipating my opening of the club. I sincerely apologise for the delay, it is beyond my control as I await my liquor licence. I will inform you all on my official opening soon thank you,” read the message.

BAC, a once popular nightspot in Bulawayo, attempted re-opening two years ago after closing shop in 2014, but those efforts only lasted some months.

Before it closed, patronage had waned at the spot, as Club Eden (now Cosmopolitan Night Club), which is close by, was attracting more revellers.
