THE Bulawayo Amateur Football League (Bafa) will conduct a draw for the 61st edition of the Townshend and Butcher Tournament today.

Zifa Bulawayo Area Zone chairman Charles Chunda said four teams will go into the hat for the tournament that will be held at the Barbourfields outside grounds on Sunday.

“The draw will be conducted at Townshend and Butcher shop tomorrow (today) with four teams going into the hat. The four teams earned the right to be part of this year’s competition because they have fully paid the league affiliation fees. In the past all teams in the league were allowed to compete but this year we only allowed those that are fully paid up,” said Chunda.

Only Safe Guard FC, Anolle Castings, Unity Village FC and Nga Chronicle FC are fighting for the cup this year.

The inaugural Townshend and Butcher tournament was staged in 1957.
