South African football giants Kaizer Chiefs and Zimbabwe’s Scottland FC will observe a minute of silence before kick-off of the 2026 Tovota Cup final at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium this afternoon in honour of four Highlanders Football Club members who died in a tragic road traffic accident on Thursday.
The tribute, which was announced in a joint statement by both teams, will be held in memory of Highlanders chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice-chairman Sifiso
Siziba, board member responsible for finance Nkani Khoza and club member Mbalenhle Sibanda, who lost their lives while returning from the club’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League away match in Kariba.
