SHEQUERA King from Bahamas won the inaugural Miss Heritage World title at a low-key event held at Harry Margolis Hall in Harare on Friday.King also scooped the best national dress and talent awards on a night which saw Swati Kain from India as first runner up and Natalia Poluektova from Russia as second runner up.
Entertainers at the show included Guspy Warrior, Trevor Dongo, Ba Shupi and the Airforce Band while the judging panel consisted of Tanyaradzwa Chikuni, Trust Mate, Prominence Makaza and Vanessa Chiyangwa.
The guest of honour, AAG vice president Chamu Chiwanza, commended the models for their patience and resolve in the face of glitches which saw the show being postponed from the original date on 7 December.
The pageant was postponed at the last minute after the organizers encountered problems with booking the venue leading to many people being turned away after coming for the show at Rainbow Towers Hotel.
Shequera (24) is the reigning Miss Bahamas and loves singing, reading, dancing, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Countries represented at the pageant included DRC, Italy, Nigeria, Bahamas, Sierra Leonne, Estonia, Ecuador, India, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
