PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA has referred back to Parliament the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council Amendment Bill to allow it to address issues that he has expressed reservations on.
This means the Bill will be recommitted to the Committee of the Whole House.
Clerk of Parliament Mr Kennedy Chokuda confirmed the development, saying Parliament will have to sit and consider the issues raised by the President.
The Bill sought to strengthen exam security, increase penalties for cheating and eliminate exam paper leakages.
It also had new offences that targeted modern academic dishonesty like smart devices and centre-level collusion.
