BAKALA IN, CHITEMBWE KICKED UPSTAIRS! Makepekepe shake-up as CAPS United hit panic button after horror start

B-Metro Sport Desk

THE Green Machine is grinding through gears, and it’s Ian Bakala who’s stepping into the hot seat while club legend Lloyd Chitembwe is shuffled out of the dugout!

In a dramatic turn of events, CAPS United have announced a major shake-up in their technical team, with former midfield maestro Ian Bakala returning as assistant coach, and Chitembwe redeployed as technical director.

A new head coach will be unveiled on Thursday, as the Harare giants scramble to fix a disastrous start to the season that sees them hovering just above relegation in 15th place, a far cry from their title-chasing glory days.
“Ian Bakala will serve as assistant head coach in the new technical team,” confirmed club president Farai Jere at a Monday presser.
“Lloyd Chitembwe remains with the club as technical director. A new coaching structure will be revealed before our Herentals clash this weekend.”

The bold overhaul is a clear vote of no confidence in Chitembwe’s reign on the touchline, but the club insists his experience is still needed, just not in the dugout.

B-Metro Verdict: Makepekepe are in crisis mode. It’s out with the old, in with the rebuild. Can Bakala help revive the sleeping giants, or is this just a reshuffle on a sinking ship?
