CAPS United forward Jayden Bakari remains optimistic that he will turn the tide after going on a seven game goal drought.
Bakari, who netted his first goal in a match against GreenFuel early in the season, has directly added to his team’s woes.
The Green Machine, has faced a turbulent run of results in recent weeks. However, they showed signs of resurgence with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Yadah in their latest fixture courtesy.

The win has injected renewed belief into the squad, with Bakari confident that both he and the team are turning the corner.
“I know the goals will come,” Bakari said.
“Scoring my first goal was a great feeling, but football is about persistence. The team is improving, and I’m working hard in training. It’s only a matter of time before I get another goal,” he said.
“A lot of factors also come into play, but we have been working also on the mental strength of things to work things in our own favour.
“Sometimes as strikers we go through dry spells, but what matters is how we respond. At the same time, try to improve on work rate, which allows you to help the team in many other phases, and the goals will surely follow.”
CAPS United will be home to former champions FC Platinum during the midweek before they travel to Kariba for a date with ZPC Kariba on the weekend.
Bakari believes the momentum gained against Yadah is key going into this match.
“These are tricky fixtures that you can’t allow complacency to cripple from within. But rather you have to capitalise on the momentum built from the previous game.
“In that regard, we have to take our chances that will come our way, and we will be in a position to punish them.
“So we are hoping for the best to come our way and collect maximum points to improve our position on the log standings.”
CAPS United have had one of their worst starts to a season in years, managing just a paltry seven points out of a possible twenty-four.
