IRELAND Cricket have named two squads led by Andrew Balbirnie for the multi-format series against Zimbabwe which begins next week.
Balbirnie will lead the hosts in the five T20I matches and the three-match One Day International series. The T20I series will kick off the tour next Friday.
Cricket Ireland also named the Ireland Wolves squad for the one-off match between the two white-ball series.
The Chevrons, have since left the country for their tour of Ireland, which will also see them proceed to Edinburg for more internationals against Scotland.
The five-match T20I series between Zimbabwe and Ireland will get the tour underway next Friday.
The T20Is will be the final home internationals in this format for Ireland before the squad heads to the UAE for the ICC T20 World Cup in October.
Ireland will be taking part in the global fiesta while Zimbabwe missed out on the chance due to an ICC suspension.
The ODIs will take place between September 8 and September 13. The ODIs are crucial for both teams as they are part of the ICC World Cup Super League – which is part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Afterwards, the Chevrons will then head for Scotland to play three T20Is in Edinburgh between September 15 and 19.
