Banker yanked to court

“Your honour, this man is a banker with Barclays bank and earns more than US$700 every month.
“At the moment he is not married meaning he can afford the US$250 I am demanding every month,” Chimusoro said.

“He has never bought food and clothes for the child who also wants bus fare to school everyday. The child’s school fees is paid by the company and not him,” she said.

In his defence, Minyuliwe said he was married and was catering for everything for the child’s expenses.
“I am married at the moment and I pay school fees, including US$180 which is required every term as school fees.

“I do have rent and rates to pay and I am offering US$150 per month inclusive of the medical aid and school fees.

“When we divorced, I left all the household property with her including a car,” Minyuliwe said.
Presiding magistrate Ms Tendai Rusinahama ordered Chimusoro to bring a confirmation letter on February 20 from the bank to prove they are paying the school fees and not Minyuliwe.
