DEBUTANTS Tenax got their top-flight campaign underway with a 6-1 drubbing at the hands of title holders FC Platinum in a Castle Lager Premiership match played at Mandava Stadium this afternoon.

 

The prisons wardens were 3-1 down at the break before the platinum miners struck again to prove to powerful for their opponents.

 

It was one of the day’s heaviest defeats, with Bulawayo City also losing 5-0 to pre-season favourites Ngezi Platinum Stars who are coached by Rodwell Dhlakama who traces his roots to Chipinge.

 

Meanwhile, Sakubva-bred hotshot Nyasha Chintuli became the first player this season to score a hat-trick after striking three times as Ngezi Platinum sank Bulawayo City at Baobab Stadium.
