RISING urban grooves artiste BaShupi (real name Peace Ndlovu) who rose to fame after collaborating with Stunner on the track Godo has collaborated with dancehall rising star, Soul Jah Love on a track which promises to be a scorcher. The single Muridzo which is a fusion of Afro Pop and hip hop is expected to be released next month.

In an interview yesterday, BaShupi said he was working flat out on the single.

“I am in the studio with Soul Jah Love working flat out on the single. We are at launching it in June and it will be a great track,” said the urban grooves artiste.

He said working with Soul Jah Love was easy because they understood each other.

“On the track, Soul Jah Love will not doing the usual chanting but will be riding the beat like a hip hop artiste. We are working smoothly together and this shows how versatile and talented he is,” said BaShupi.

Besides this collaboration, BaShupi has also collaborated with dancehall chanter; Dhadza D on Ma1, a track which he said was receiving a sizeable amount of airplay from local radio stations.

“Ma1 is doing well and is receiving a fair amount of airplay on radio stations in the country just like Godo did. This is due to hard work and long hours in the studio,” he said.

BaShupi said he hoped to perform in Bulawayo and was waiting for promoters to approach him.

“I know that people want me to come to Bulawayo and perform. I am just waiting for promoters to come up with a show that features me. I will be happy to perform in the city of Kings after a long time,” he said.
