POPULAR urban grooves artiste BaShupi has parted ways with his manager Tsungie Zvobgo, accusing his boss of failing to meet set down goals. In an interview yesterday, BaShupi of the Godo fame said they parted ways last year and he was now “managing” himself.

“I have parted ways with Tsungie; I am now under a new manager, myself. She was not managing me the way I wanted so we had to part ways. I wanted to travel abroad and broaden my musical career, but in nearly two years I was with her I did not do that,” he said.

BaShupi said his international gigs were now going to be managed by United Kingdom-based Heather Mundari, who was influential in organising his UK tour with Stunner.

“Heather Mundari is now my new manager for my international gigs. She was the one who organised my UK tour last year with Stunner,” he said.

Turning to his musical career, Ba Shupi said he was looking forward to releasing his track Big Time Spender he collaborated with Dhadza D.

He said his new track MaOne is doing well on the airwaves.
“I am going to do a track with Dhadza D called Big Time Spender. It will be released soon. I am still riding the wave for the track MaOne which is getting decent airplay,” said BaShupi.  Zvobgo has managed artistes such as, the late Chiwoniso Maraire, Amara Brown and Tehn Diamond among others.
