What is interesting about the show is
that Jah Prayzah will join Sulu on “Sean Timba.”
Usually the verses are sung by Sulu’s dancer Franco “Slomo” Dhaka during Jah Prayzah’s absence.
Sulu is expected to serenade the crowd with a lot of hits that have endeared him well with his fans, from the time he started his musical career in 2005.
His fans should look forward to songs like “One Way”, “Pakaoma”, “Chauta”, “Nhambarakishoni”, “Njiva” and “Sean Timba”.
“Sean Timba” is currently receiving heavy rotation on radio stations, parties and nightclubs.
Ever since he started his musical career, the young crooner has been largely relying on his late father’s discography.
Although he had released three other albums, “Ndomusiya Nani” (2007), “Reverse Deal” (2009) and “Non-Stop” (2010), which featured Oliver Mtukudzi, his uncle Allan Chimbetu and saxophonist Philip Svosve, it was his latest offering, “Syllabus”, that has really put him on the national map.
Sulu’s earlier albums did not excite the fans that much, but his fortunes seemed to have changed for the better with the release of “Reverse Deal”.
“Reverse Deal” won the National Arts Merit Award for Outstanding Album of the Year in 2009.
Only this year, he went a grade higher and bagged three Nama awards, at the annual event held in Bulawayo in February.
Jah Prayzah, the self-proclaimed “Captain” is expected to sent fans into a frenzy with his sing-along songs such as “Gochi Gochi,” “Chirangano, and “Tsviriyo”, among others.
The “Maria” hitmaker is a performer par excellence and his interaction with the fans is a marvel.
