Sulu did not disappoint as he belted out songs from his latest hit album “Syllabus”. As has become the norm, fans demanded the song “Sean Timba”. Supported by nimble-footed dancer Franco “Slomo” Dhaka on vocals, the fans loved every minute of it.
After more than three hours of song and dance with his Beitbridge fans, it was time for the hornbill to descend on Chitsanga Hall in Chiredzi.
The majority of the fans were farmers with some who had travelled all the way from Chipinge, Triangle and Hippo Valley.
After the show, Sulu headed to Rusape for another gig where he shared the stage with Manicaland province’s own talented Hosiah Chipanga. Vengere Hall, the venue of the show, was packed to the rafters and again “Sean Timba” was the toast of the night.
Sulu wrapped up his successful tour with an afternoon show at Mega 1 Bar in Harare on Monday and he never showed any signs of exhaustion.
This time he partnered Jah Prayzah on stage and together they literally brought down the roof.
Sulu’s publicist, Joe Nyamungoma, described the “Batai Munhu” tour as “extraordinary”.
“We had the busiest holiday. We are happy with the reception we are getting wherever we are going. It shows that dendera beat is getting bigger and better,” he said.
