MUSICIAN Mike ‘BaTroy’ Pagwa has dismissed rumours circulating on social media that he was involved in an accident with his new Aqua vehicle gifted to him by businessman Wicknell Chivayo.
Pagwa, who is known for his single Shungu Dzemwoyo Wangu, said the vehicle is intact and that it was his friend who was involved in an accident.
“A friend crashed his car on Sunday tichibva kuNorton.
“My car is intact.
“People are asking me if I am alive. If dziri nyaya dzemaaccident, hatife,” he said.
In January, Pagwa made a public plea to Chivayo for the businessman to buy him a car as he was tired of using public transport.
He recorded a video of himself in a kombi.
Chivayo responded to the video and bought Pagwa an Aqua, although the musician did not have a driver’s licence at the time.
