The Fill Up Chibuku Stadium event, to be held on July 22 in Chitungwiza, has announced its official line-up, including headliners Killer T and Silent Killer.
This would be the first time a musical event of that scale has been held at the stadium, and organisers, Jack Radics Entertainment, will also feature an array of Zimdancehall and hip hop artists, including Volts JT, Dadza D, Guspy Warrior, Uncle Epatan, Kinnah, Boss Pumaco and Ndunge Yut.
Show coordinator, Jack Radics, said the event is an initiative to showcase young and new talents in a bid to raise awareness around drug abuse among artists, which he described as “rampant”.
“It’s an initiative we decided to come up with in a bid to showcase the talents of big and upcoming artists.
“A number of artists have been itching for such experiences where they can exchange notes with others.
“Lack of exposure has been their biggest let down and we are here to fill that gap,” he said.
Jack Radics believes upcoming artists need exposure to fight drug abuse.
“Drug abuse is rampant among artists because most of the time they’ll be idle.
“During the show, we will be speaking up against drug abuse, which is a new cancer in our midst.”
