A HARARE woman’s request for a protection order against her husband’s second wife has failed.

Mildred Matizha told magistrate Rutendo Machingura that the second wife, Patience Murwira, has been harassing her and her kids.

“She is harassing me and my kids, disturbing my peace.

“She insults me in front of my kids which is disrespectful.

“This started when her goods were moved to my house and she told me to leave so that she could have my husband all to herself.

“I want to move back to my homestead, Your Worship, but I’m scared, my children grew up there and they have to move back.”

But, Patience denied the allegations.

“I only went there because I was invited. “She told me she wasn’t feeling well because of our husband and wanted to report him to the police.

“I never insulted or harassed her.

“Rather, I begged her not to report our husband to the police since we once came to court seeking a protection order.”

Magistrate Machingura dismissed the application on the grounds the matter was sent to the wrong court.
