Bayern after Koscielny

LONDON. — Bayern Munich are interested in Arsenal central defender Laurent Koscielny who only has one year left on his contract.

Arsene Wenger is keen for the French international to stay at the Emirates Stadium but talks over a new contract worth £90 000 a week have stalled. Now Bayern are interested in him as they are looking for someone to back up to Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng but Koscielny might not be keen on starting on the bench.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are trying to complete a £50million deal for Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain. — The Daily Express.
