LONDON. – Arturo Vidal has shunned interest from Arsenal and Manchester United to sign for Bayern Munich.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the Juventus midfielder’s move at a Press conference in China, where they are currently on tour, and say “priceless” forward Thomas Muller will not be sold this summer.
The 28-year-old will now undergo a medical with Bayern at the weekend ahead of the £26 million move.
Rummenigge said: “I can fundamentally confirm that we have reached an agreement with both parties, Juventus and the player.
“All that is lacking now is the medical and the signatures on the contract.”
That should happen in time for Vidal to link up with his new team-mates from next week.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star is currently on holiday in Miami after helping Chile win the Copa America.
Vidal put in a transfer request earlier this summer once he learned of Bayern’s interest. – AFP.
