THE Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Zhemu Soda is today expected to attend the annual broadcasters’ conference being organized by the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ), in partnership with the National University of Science and Technology (Nust).
The conference, that ends tomorrow, Thursday,brings together key players in the media and broadcasting sector to discuss the future of the industry and will run under the theme: “Shaping the Future of Broadcasting: Sustainability, Innovation and Collaborative Regulation in a Disrupted Media Landscape.”
The event is expected to attract broadcasters, media practitioners, regulators, academics, policymakers and technology experts who will deliberate on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in the rapidly evolving broadcasting sector.
Discussions will focus on sustainability in broadcasting, technological innovation, digital transformation and the importance of collaborative regulation in ensuring the continued growth of the industry.
The conference comes at a time when broadcasters across the globe are navigating changing audience habits, digital disruption and increasing competition from online platforms.
Participants are also expected to explore strategies for enhancing content production, improving service delivery and leveraging new technologies to strengthen Zimbabwe’s broadcasting landscape.
BAZ and Nust have partnered on the initiative as part of efforts to promote dialogue and knowledge sharing within the broadcasting industry while fostering innovation and professional development among stakeholders.
