ZIMBABWE Tourism Authority (ZTA) chief executive officer, Ms Winnie Muchanyuka, has implored delegates at the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) summit in Victoria Falls to be the country’s brand ambassadors.
She invited the delegates to take time and explore the natural beauty of Zimbabwe.

In her opening remarks, Ms Muchanyuka said: “As you do your pre and post-tours, enjoy the natural beauty of our motherland, and be our global incentive traveler ambassadors and tell the story of Zimbabwe.
“Your visit has given us an opportunity to bring the world of incentive travel into Zimbabwe. We look forward to partnering with you and your networks in attracting big renowned world corporations for inventive travel programmes into the destination.”
The event is expected to provide incentives for planners’ ongoing search for new destinations that offer truly unique, authentic, and creative experiences.
SITE’s executive leadership team are C-Suite executives from leading businesses in the field of incentive travel, across Zimbabwe’s source markets and beyond, and are thought leaders and key decision-makers pioneering the growth of the US$$75 billion incentive travel industry.
Zimbabwe’s hosting of the SITE Executive Summit presents an opportunity for the country to position itself as a strong emerging destination for incentive travel.
Incentive travel uses once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences as the ultimate reward or prize for extraordinary performance in a business setting.
According to recent research, incentive travel budgets are expected to rise by 34 percent in 2023, with a gradual return to mid/long-haul destinations.
