IT’S game on tonight!
Twenty-six drop-dead gorgeous Bulawayo girls take their beauty to the ramp in a battle for the Miss Bulawayo crown at a Bulawayo hotel tonight.
The judges are faced with a mammoth task as the beauties show the best of what their mamas gave them to get the crown. Reigning Miss Zimbabwe Bongani Dhlakama will hand over the title at the show.

The models aged between 18 and 22 — the majority of whom are students — will be out in their best outfits.

Miss Bulawayo licence holder, Sarah Mpofu said the stage had been set and all that was left was for the girls to deliver.

“It’s game on tonight and we are ready to welcome come our new beauty queen for Bulawayo.

“We have 26 beautiful girls who are all up for the challenge and it’s game on,” said the modelling instructor.

Comedian and socialite Babongile Sikhonjwa will be the Master of Ceremonies this evening and the audience is assured of a great night.

The Miss Bulawayo pageant was last held in December 2011 where Dhlakama was crowned Miss Bulawayo.

It has been delayed by the financial problems that dogged the Miss Zimbabwe Trust.

This year’s event would be held under the theme “Vinter Wintage” and fans are urged to dress in vintage and winter clothing in line with the theme.

The Miss Bulawayo pageant has produced the largest number of the Miss Zimbabwe queens than any other province in the country.

The winner of the pageant will represent Bulawayo at the Miss Zimbabwe finals next month.

Some of the popular Miss Bulawayo queens are Lorraine Maphala, Oslie Muringai, Caroline Marufu and Samantha Tshuma
