SHE is not only beautiful but has the brains to back it up. She recently came back from the United States of America where she was doing her studies and was among the 76 students from different countries who excelled in their studies with flying colours and received recognition in the Global Gazette undergraduate exchange programme.

Bathabile Dlamini said her stay in the States was life changing and she has gained a lot of experience from her internship and community work. The graduate said she was exposed to a system that supports individuals in what they are good at.

“I explored all I could explore despite the limited time I had considering that I had commitments that included internship, community involvement and extra-curriculum work. It was and still is mind-blowing to be exposed to the USA unique culture which took me a month to adjust,” she said.

She said education has always played a major role in her life and has had the perception that it is her catalyst to achieving her goals.

“From my experience, I believe that every go-getter girl like me out there can amount to anything if they stay faithful to their academic work. If you are faithful with the little, God always expands your territory and it applies to education,” she said.

Currently, Bathabile is working on a project that will benefit enthusiasts and go-getters in the country. She said this was part of her giving back to the community, sharing the knowledge and experience that she gained during her stay in America.

“I will be launching my project next month and so everything will be revealed once I have finalised everything. All those who want to be and have something in life, this project will help you kick start a better life for you,” she said.

Besides excelling in her education, Bathabile is also into theatre, she was part of Umbiko kaMadlenya which was a hit at last year’s Intwasa Festival of the Arts.
