Bed-wetting hubby dumped

Court Reporter
A BED-wetting man was yesterday ditched in court by his wife who said she is tired of washing messed blankets. Elizabeth Murefu said she no longer loved Edmore Simbi and sought a protection order from the magistrate Mr Trevor Nyatsanza.

She claimed Simbi was also in the habit of abusing her over petty issues.

“I no longer love him because I cannot keep on calling husband someone who always urinates on the blankets,” she said.

Murefu said when she asks her husband to sleep on the floor he becomes violent and abusive.

“He is in the habit of assaulting me with any weapon as if I am an animal. I want him to pack all his belongings and leave my house as soon as possible because he is an embarrassment,” said Murefu.

Simbi denied the allegations accusing Murefu of disrespecting him.

“She insults me saying I should go and see Prophet Magaya because I am possessed by demons,” he said.

Simbi said he still loved his wife and was ready to reform. Mr Nyatsanza granted the order in Murefu’s favour.

He barred Simbi from physically or verbally abusing Murefu.

Mr Nyatsanza ordered Murefu to give Simbi time to seek alternative accommodation.
