A 34-year-old married man who allegedly had an affair with a 15-year-old girl was on Tuesday arraigned before the courts for having sexual intercourse with the minor several times.
Tonderai Chiheya of number 10976 Budiriro 5 in Harare appeared before Mbare magistrate Ms Anita Tshuma charged with having sexual intercourse with a minor.
He denied the allegations, saying the girl told him she was 17-years-old.
Ms Tshuma remanded him to June 29 for trial on $100 bail.
As part of his bail conditions he was ordered not to interfere with witnesses and to reside at the address he gave to the police.
Allegations are that Chiheya started dating the girl sometime in January this year. The girl consented to having sexual intercourse with Chiheya several times. The two allegedly had sexual intercourse both at the girl’s and Chiheya’s house.
The court heard that Chiheya would sneak the girl into his house when his wife was not around.
