Beenie Man to headline curry festival

The dancehall kingpin, renowned for hits such as “Girls Dem Sugar”, “Dweet Again”, “Let’s Go”, “Street Life”, “Who Am I”, “Feel it Boy”, — a duet with Janet Jackson and King of the Dancehall — is expected to highlight the “Reggae Show Time” section of the event which will also feature female acts Spice, Tifa and Baby Tash.

Meanwhile, seasoned acts Ken Boothe, Ernie Smith and Lovindeer will perform during the “Vintage Reggae” segment of the show. The live entertainment line-up will be rounded off by gospel artiste Lawayne McLean.

The show, which will be emceed by Richie B, will also highlight the crowning of Miss Curry Festival Queen.
Another feature of the day’s event will be the wide range of curry dishes expected to be on display during the family event.

Meanwhile, WISYNCO, through its brand Bigga, will partner with Mannings School Alumni and the Westmoreland Curry Festival, in staging the event.
The event will be officially opened by Roger Clarke, MP for Central Westmoreland. — Jamaica Observer.
