NEW: Beer binge turns fatal

A man died tragically from injuries sustained after his nephew used a knobkerrie to strike him in the forehead.

In a statement, the Zimbabwe Republic Police national spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the case.

“Police in Madlambuzi have arrested Calbert Mpofu (30) in connection with a case of murder in which his uncle, Lisani Dube (46) died on December 10 2023 after being struck with a knobkerrie on the forehead during a beer drinking spree on December 9 2023 at Kungubo Business Centre.”
