Belarusian Defence Minister strengthens ties during visit to Zimbabwe

Belarusian Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Victor Khrenin, pays a courtesy call on his Zimbabwean counterpart, Minister Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri, who is Zimbabwe’s Minister of Defence, in Harare.

Belarus is assisting Zimbabwe with a farm mechanisation programme to stimulate production in the agricultural sector.

He is accompanied by his deputy minister, Major General Andrey Burdyko, who is responsible for logistics and heads the armed forces, along with other government officials.

 

Zimbabwe and Belarus share a strong bilateral relationship, focusing primarily on farm mechanisation and the transport sector.
