HIS Presence Ministries International and Harvest House International churches have urged the body of Christ to take advantage of global cultural diversity to learn new languages and spread the Gospel.
This was said at HPMI’s annual God’s Transforming Presence three-day conference just before Easter.
Bishop Collin and his wife Senior Reverend Sarah Nyathi, who lead HHI, were the guests of honour.
Bishop Nyathi is brother to Apostle Charles Chiriseri and the two have been in ministry for over 30 years.
Preaching at the conference, Bishop Nyathi encouraged the church to go back to the basics and preach salvation.
“Heaven and Hell are real, church. What the church needs now are men and women of purpose. Men and women who will purpose it in their hearts to save many souls from going to hell. Yes we need prosperity but our mandate as Christians is to spread the gospel of salvation to all nations,” said Bishop Nyathi.
Snr Rev Nyathi said the church must open its doors to win souls for Christ.
“There are over 8 000 groups that have not heard the message of Jesus Christ, there are about eight billion people and about 1,3 billion are in China most of whom haven’t heard about salvation through Christ,” said Snr Rev Nyathi.
She said the reason why Zimbabweans had been scattered all over the world was for them to preach.
“Our relations with the Asian world have been established not only for economic reasons but also for spiritual reasons. It is high time the church starts to learn languages such as Mandarin and French so that we can minister to the Asians and Francophone Africa…
“The church needs to be accommodative to every ethnic group in Zimbabwe; it is high time the church becomes creative so as to cater for everyone. The church has to be people-friendly,” Snr Rev Nyathi said.
Apostle Chiriseri and his wife Snr Pastor Petunia said missionary work was part and parcel of Christianity, and Easter should remind believers of the Great Commission Christ gave them.
