Bellingham MAKES HISTORY IN LA LIGA

MADRID. – Jude Bellingham has made history by being named LaLiga Player of the Month.

The England superstar moved to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in a huge £113million move in June. Bellingham has started brilliantly, with four goals and an assist in his first three games for the Spanish giants.

He netted in victories against Athletic Club and Almeria, before scoring a late winner against Celta Vigo to help Carlo Ancelotti’s men get a perfect start to the league campaign.

And Spain’s top-flight LaLiga announced yesterday that the gifted 20-year-old has been named as the top player in the division across August.

He is the first English player to win the award – beating the likes of Steve McManaman, Gary Lineker, Michael Owen and Laurie Cunningham.

Former Birmingham City academy product Bellingham is just the third player to score in his first three Los Blancos appearances, after Wesley Sneijder and Cristiano Ronaldo. Mailonline
