RENOWNED sculptor, Dominic Benhura, will be exhibiting his art works next month in Charleston, United States of America.

In an interview, Benhura said he was ready for the international engagements.

“Next month, I will be in Charleston, USA, for an exhibition and for the moment I am busy planning of what to offer,” he said.

Benhura opened up on the latest pieces he worked on ahead of the tour.

Some of the pieces are being kept at his gallery in Harare.

“My last piece I have done is called ‘Dancing Girl,’ which portrays happiness and it is a colourful stone dress with glass and acrylics.

“It is at the collector’s house in Harare.”

Benhura last showcased his work in Indianapolis, United States, before the Covid-19 induced lockdown.

“My last show was in Indianapolis, USA, as mentioned before.

“You need to understand that one can’t do monthly exhibitions, since you need several months to prepare pieces for a show properly.”

Benhura’s goal is to work with schools.

He said he is also planning to identify girls and boys who can be helped in this sector as part of his drive to give back to society.
