ZIMBABWE’S opening batter, Brian Bennett has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for September.

The 21 year old is nominated alongside the Indian duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Abhishek Sharma.

Bennett was in exceptional touch throughout September, scoring 497 runs in nine T20Is at an average of 55.22 and a strike rate of 165.66.

After topping the charts in series against Sri Lanka and Namibia, he carried his form into the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final, scoring 72, 65 and 111 in his first three innings.

Bennett’s consistency with the bat and clean hitting was vital as Zimbabwe secured qualification for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Voting will close on Wednesday next week. – @brandon_malvin
