Hardrock’s bid to land the double on their Premiership now faces a huge test when they play fellow newcomers FC Hunters in the Chibuku Super Cup semi-final at Chahwanda this afternoon.
The Kwekwe team is already in control of proceedings in the league where they lead the race with five points with only two games before the season comes to an end.
But before they look at beating everyone to the finish line in the league, they have to take care of things in the Chibuku Super Cup whose final will also be held at their iconic stadium.
Today they have to find a way past an FC Hunters side that has been on a flying streak where they knocked out Dynamos in the quarterfinals.
Both teams are out to make a statement win, with FC Hunters who are out of contention for the Premiership title looking to also win the Munhumutapa Cup.
All set for Chibuku Super Cup semis
Hardrock and FC Hunters go face-to-face in the first Chibuku Super Cup semifinal showdown at Chahwanda this afternoon.
The winner will face the victors from the second semi between CAPS United and Highlanders at Rufaro tomorrow.
