GOSPEL music fans will have the best of both worlds when Minister Michael Mahendere and Everton Mlalazi perform at different venues in the capital on Saturday.
Minister Michael Mahendere and Direct Worship will host a three-day show “July Worship Music Festival” (JWMF) at the Harare Gardens from Thursday to Saturday.
This year’s JWMF is running under the theme ‘Celebrating the Beauty of diversity’.
Mlalazi will lead The Vine choir on Saturday at Harare International Conference Centre.
Dubbed ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’, the concert will also feature Vashawn Mitchell, Jekalyn Carr, Annatoria and other artists from South Africa and Germany.
Mlalazi will also perform at JWMF alongside Minister Ellard, Sharon Cherayi, Bridget Ndanga, Eleana Makombe, Tsitsi, Mai Tande, Psalmist Hubert C, Tapiwa Masara, Misheck Mahendere, Larry Gunda, Pastor Josh Kays, and Blessing Jeduthan.
In an interview with the Zimbabwe Television Network (ZTN), Minister Mahendere said:
“A lot has been happening in the summer, when it is warm, only a few events in the winter so I thought why not occupy that space?
“We started this festival in 2018 and back then people came in numbers despite the weather and I think it’s a sacrifice made by those who will attend the show who want to feed on the gospel of God.
“The workshop is a platform to share what I have learnt from my years in the industry as a worship leader, music minister and an artist.
“There are many who journey in the industry without the knowledge of how to navigate profitably, so during the workshop, we will have in-depth discussions on some of the key points for the journey,” he said.
