Betis football festival dates set

THE Real Betis Academy has set September 21-22 as the dates for their annual football festival that will be held at Morris Depot.

A total of 17 teams will take part in the Under-19, Under-15, Under-12 and Under-10 age groups.

Teams taking part in the competition include BN Academy, Lions Academy, Green Bloods Academy, Legends Football Academy, Jadel, Dominus Pastor, Royal Oak, Africa Elite, Black Mambas, Majesa, Big Stuff, Aces Youth Soccer Academy, Aukaland, SN Academy, Golden Eagles, Total Football and and Real Betis Academy.

“We are very delighted to see the positive preparations for the second Edition of our Festival. Over 15 youth teams will participate in Harare playing across the Under 10s to Under 19s age groups over two days with pool matches on the first day and finals on the second day.

“We look forward to a fantastic spectacle of exciting matches.We expect close to 1 000 players participating across all age groups. We are very grateful to all our sponsors, partners and stakeholders for their growing support and consistency over the years. We look forward to welcome Regional and International guests, scouts, Agents and some Professional club representatives, both from our local clubs and regional clubs.

“It is our commitment as Real Betis to continue to give the youth a platform to showcase their talent locally with such tournaments, our Regional tours yearly and of course our International Tours to our headquarters in Seville, Spain.

“The youth need high quality training, matches and exposure in order to develop quickly and make the next step towards their development in taking football as a career, so we look forward to welcome the public, football stakeholders, players and parents to our wonderful football festival at our base the Morris Depot Grounds,” said Real Betis Academy chairperson, Gerald Sibanda.
