BULAWAYO-BASED artist, Bhekiwe Dube, is set to release her first song next week.
Titled “I Can’t Say,” the song will be released next Friday.
Bhekiwe is currently working on her debut album.
The songbird said her music explores the thrills, emotions and feelings of love.
In an interview with H-Metro, Bhekiwe said:
“Most of my songs start as ideas that come when I’m either cleaning my room, cooking or doing dishes. Not sure what that’s about but it works.
“My new single ‘I Can’t Stay’ is my first release of the year and it’s actually a song I wrote a while ago.
“It kept playing in my head even though I wrote and worked on other music so I took that as a sign to release it. It was produced by Dakudu, a talented artist and producer from Byo
“I’ve put out a few singles that can be found on all streaming platforms. There’s a lot I’ve been up to and soon everyone will see.”
Bhekiwe’s musical journey started seven years ago.
“I started singing back in pre-school and I did everything involving music throughout my school career.
“Music has always been my first choice, I started releasing my own music in 2019 with my first single, ‘Secret Feeling’, a smooth RnB track that will definitely get you in your feels.
“I express a lot of emotions and feelings into my music regardless of the genre I tap into.
“I like to tell different stories through my music, be it my own story or someone else’s. I’ve been experimenting a lot.”
