THE desire to invigorate sexual passion cost 22-year-old David Mguni of Jeremiah village in Nkayi his life after he ate a concoction of herbs, police have reported.
A police statement released in Harare yesterday said Mguni died on Saturday after eating prepared herbs given to him by a herbalist.
The statement said Mguni had asked for herbs from the herbalist to revive his sexual passion.
He died immediately after taking the herbs which he prepared himself following the herbalist’s instructions. Police investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, police in Nyamapanda are investigating the death of a man who died on Sunday after drinking beer at Marufu village, in Chief Nyamukoho’s area in the Mudzi communal lands.
The sister of the deceased, whom he had been drinking beer with was taken to Mutoko hospital with serious stomach pains.
A Mphoengs woman is assisting police with investigations following the death of a newly born baby who was discovered buried in a shallow grave at Sangulube village, in Chief Tshitshi’s area in the Brunapeg communal lands. – Ziana-Herald.

- Life is precious because once it is lost, it can never be recovered. It is therefore important for people to ensure that they do not do things that endanger their lives or that of others.
- Sexual enhancement drugs or herbs can be harmful. More often than not, people that use such concoctions have ended up in hospital due to undesired effects which can result in great embarrassment to the victim.
- Men should not succumb to pressure which will force them to resorting to drastic measures such as taking sexual enhancing drugs to prove their manhood.
