MALVERN Dumbura is working on reducing his giant frame.
The Tenax striker’s huge frame attracted headlines last year with social media feasting on his size.
Dumbura has lost a number of kilos and has attributed the development to extra work in the gym.
“Where I have come from is far with my body,” he said.
“People were looking down upon me and when I once trended on Facebook, with people mocking me, I felt that I could put in more effort.
“I told myself people should not look down upon me.
“I am still pushing and I will keep on working and now I am enjoying my football more than ever before.”
Tenax are currently in second position, tied on points with log leaders FC Wangu Mazodze on 42 points, in the ZIFA Eastern Region Division One race.
The prison wardens will face Mutare City this weekend in a derby to be played at Vengere on Sunday.
They are coming from a goalless draw with Bikita Minerals.
Dumbura said their game against Bikita Minerals was tough but they are now shifting focus to their upcoming games.
“It was hard, we failed to utilise our chances and we managed to settle for a draw.
“Bikita Minerals were also tactical as they have a good game plan.
“Our next match, we are facing Mutare City, which is going to be a difficult match again.
“The title race has now become intense and we can no longer afford to drop points, only maximum points will do.
“If we manage to win our next five games, we will put ourselves in a better position.”
A number of mouth-watering fixtures are set for the ERSL this coming weekend.
A Masvingo derby featuring Bikita Minerals and Masvingo United will explode at Lithium Stadium, while Wangu Mazodze will be hosting Grayham at Mucheke.
