He was speaking after donating 20 bicycles to police officers from various stations in Mashonaland Central Province who excelled in their duties on Friday.
“The ZRP accords us as the business community peace and stability even for would be investors. It is against this background that I personally feel hardworking police officers should be awarded for their outstanding commitment to duty,” he said.
Mr Kanengoni challenged the corporate world to support the police force to enable them to effectively execute their duties.
“Truly speaking the ZRP has exhibited itself as a highly esteemed service provider which has excelled locally regionally and world over.
“The organisation has for years given its best to the community and it is high time that the business community should plough back into the police force to improve service delivery,” he said.
The chairman of the Matepatepa area neighbourhood committee said the business community must chip in to compliment the police force to enhance service delivery.
He implored locals to also assist the police with information of criminal activities.
