Binga man fined for unlawful hunting

A Binga man has been fined for illegally hunting in Chizarira National Park.
Emmanuel Mupindu (48) was arraigned before the Binga Magistrates’ Court facing charges of unlawful hunting as defined in Section 24(1)(b) of the Parks and Wildlife Act Chapter 20:14.
He was ordered to pay a fine of US$200 and US$3 000 to Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority as compensation.
Circumstances are that on January 29, Mupindu hunted three duikers with a spear and dogs in the national park without a permit.
